The Offa’s Dyke footpath is 182 miles long and a cherished National Trail.
The route passes through the Wye Valley AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), then climbs the Black Mountain skirting the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, passes through the Shropshire Hills AONB and finally the Clwyidian Range and Dee Valley AONB. An extraordinary challenge!
Not just an “ordinary” 100 miles…. The Mercian Challenge is an incredibly tough event with a 42hr cut off time.
Following 100 miles of the Offa’s Dyke footpath from Chepstow to Montgomery with a total of 5180m of elevation along the way!
